Collages.

Collage "clarity"

Collage "Flamenco"

I realize that these photographs of the collages are not at all clear and that many of the details are not visible and those that are, are written in Dutch. I had not thought about the influence of the flash on the collages and I didn't realize until later that I could have taken them without the flash.

Anyway, it is too late now, because the best have been framed and are behind glass and I am getting a lot of reflection from the items in the living room in them , so I can't take a decent picture, or one that is better than I can show here. So be it. You'll have to take my word for it that they look better in person than they do here.

That's all I want to say about that, disappointingly.

I think they're beautiful.

I love the second to last one. The colours are so rich, with a lovely depth.

No No No!

Don't be disappointed my friend.
I think they are fantastic!

The only thing you might consider is no-glare glass to replace what is in the frame. However - it is expensive. You might get used to the reflections personally - but if you don't - you do have an option.

They are incredible - really!

I think they are beautiful too.

I particularly like the first one, which looks antiquey, and the collage Flamenco, with the hot red colours.

I like the way you have blended the colours - it's a shame we can't get the full effect.

You could start doing a collage a day, like Neda. There is another collage blog I have just come across called 'Swim With The Fishes', and her collages are good too.

full of vivacity and meaning. I think they are great.
I like the themes and the colours and the way you have worked at them - very powerful images all of them. I see why people are going for the flamenco one - very vivid and moving. Some of them are quite angry and some quite sad, but all are good to look at.
thanks for sharing them with us, flash or no, I am glad to know you have your art work exhibited around you.

I love your collages!! Every single one of them is unique and wonderful. I like the way you paid attention to some details around the images and your choice of colors and composition and also like the way some images appear distressed. I do hope you continue with this exploration and keep posting them, please? It is hard to photograph some collages because the adhesive or medium can be glossy. It will help to turn off flash or use natural outside light when you can.

Keep up the great work, I'm in awe.

Awesome Irene! What a great job! I too wish I could read more, but the message is pretty clear from the pictures.

Very cool and not what I had pictured in my head at all... I thought you were doing a large poster; not a book!
