Jesker seems to have had some sort of an attack that left him unable to walk this morning and he is still not back to normal, although he has been out with me and we have made a short walk around the field. This morning he could not get up and he was very drowsy and confused and in pain. Because he seemed to be in pain, I called the vet and got some pain medication for him, but the vet said that it could be anything and that he could not make a diagnosis without seeing him. Of course, I could not get Jesker to the vet, but gave him the medication and hoped it would work. I gave it to him at 9 am, but it wasn't until 3 pm that he started to show signs of recuperation and at 4:30 I was able to take him out for a short walk.
The only reason that I think it was an attack is because he was so drowsy and confused. It could very well be something else all together. All he has really done today is sleep and he still seems to have trouble moving around comfortably. He doesn't want to eat, but he will chew on beef jerky strips and he just for the first time had a drink of water.
I was really worried about him this morning when all he did was lie there in one position and not move with his eyes closed. Now I just hope for the best and will wait for tomorrow and see if there is improvement.
Ciao,
Nora

Hi Nora. All best wishes to your poorly little doggy for his recovery. Shame that he can't tell you exactly what the matter is. If a trip to the vet is necessary maybe the Exfactor will help you take him.
Try to get a little sleep in the night even if only 4 to 6am or similar. Just 2 or 3 hours will make all the difference. And you may need your strength tomorrow.
Hoping Jesker is much better soon,
Bearfriend xx
Oh I'm so sorry to hear about this. It sounds to me like it could be a small stroke as my dog, Tara, had one and those were her symptoms.
Try and get some sleep and hold him close and get XF to get you and Jesker to the vet ASAP.
Hugs to both of you from Ansa and me.

I so hope Jesker is okay! I know how much you love him, and it's so awful when our animals aren't well! I hope you get him to the vet for a checkup very soon, too, because whatever it was (as Wisewebwoman said, it could have been a stroke) could happen again, so you'll want to know what you're dealing with.
And this will certainly not help you sleep much at night, will it? Take care, Nora!
It does sound like a small stroke but I hope you can get him to the vet to have him checked.
And I hope you've had some rest too.
Take care.
Thinking of you and Jesker.
