Just a minute...

Just a minute, people, I will be right with you after I down this first mug of coffee and make me another one, because waking up is hard to do. I should go and sleep another two hours, but I have an appointment with my SPN this morning, so I can't, although I am yawning something awful. On top of that, it's raining cats and dogs outside, so hurray!

Yesterday morning the weather was cold and windy and wet, so I got a ride to creative therapy from another one of the participants. It's so nice to go somewhere in a car and be sheltered from the elements. I could get used to that. Despite me being so ecologically responsible, there are times when I wish for a little car to drive around in when the weather is bad or when the distances are great.

At creative therapy, I finished another collage and it turned out very well. So well, that it got me an offer to sell my collages in somebody's art shop in a tourist town close to here, which I may very well take them up on. I have four extra collages finished now and they need to all be framed and when I get that done, I will sell them if I can. First I need to take photographs of them and show them to you here also.

When I got home, the Exfactor came over to drop of some hand and wrist braces for my sister to wear, who has broken a bone in her hand and torn a ligament in her wrist and has been wearing a cumbersome hard brace ever since. She did this by falling down some stairs way from the top and she could have been more seriously hurt. This happened at New Year's at a rental cottage in the Ardennen in Belgium and the torn ligament was recently discovered during an MRI scan. She's been in a lot of pain ever since it happened and we thought the more flexible, stretchy hand and wrist brace would be better for her to wear.

Then I needed to do some jobs in the apartment, since I had not done anything over the weekend and make a shopping list, luckily a short one. It wasn't raining when I went to the store, there was just a lot of wind. Besides the usual things, I also bought lunch meat for me and sardines in tomato sauce. The Exfactor had told me that not only is the fish good for you, but the little bones in it are good for your bones. I was able to eat one small tin of them when I got home. So, that's another food my gastric band will allow me to eat and I can eat 3 slices of lunch meat all at once, with the 4th slice going to the Überhund. Yes, he has a good life here.

I am now at a stage where I like puttering around the apartment and getting it to look clean. I am over the doldrums. I not only empty all the ashtrays but clean them too every day. Today I have to clean up the bedroom and the bathroom. There is much animal hair to gather. I've found out that getting rid of dog hair on the furniture is best done when you rub it with a damp cloth in one direction. It rolls all the hair into little strips that you can easily pick off. Much easier than trying to futilely vacuum it. That's the way it works on my sofa anyway.

Okay, now I'm out of here. I have to get going. I will be amusing and interesting the next time, I promise.

Have a great day.

Ciao...

Glad you are managing to eat fish as it is very good for you.
We were supposed to get a really bad storm with snow last night & after battening down the hatches we woke this morning to find everything calm and not a flake to be found! Hope it doesn't come your way.
Have a good day and take care on the roads. X

That is so exciting to have an offer to sell your art! And you almost mention it just in passing. I've been hoping you would take pictures and let us see your collages that you talk so much about.

That's great news that you may be able to sell your collages! Wow. Maybe you'll even make enough to afford yourself a nice little electric car? ;-)

Great news about the offer to well your collage!!

I used to eat a lot of sardines from tins. I agree with what the Exfactor says, and I think they are an excellent source of fish oils too.

How exciting to be offered gallery space. Can she get you a discount for the framing?

It's supposed to rain today and it's quite cold, for here.
