To really live like it.

Other people’s opinion of you does not have to become your reality.

It is really awful when a plain glass of ordinary water at room temperature makes you burp nonstop, but I am having exactly that problem. I am a one woman orchestra sitting here all by myself in the middle of the night with cold feet in my warm bathrobe. What a heck of a dilemma to be in. I may as well drink a glass of cold water with a couple of ice cubes in it for that matter, because I would prefer that. It would quench my thirst better and increase the drinking pleasure. I really would like some lemonade, but I drank the last of that yesterday while I was under the mistaken impression that I had more of it.

Because it is going to be Saturday, I am not going to worry about how long I stay up this night and I will go back to bed when I am good and ready to and hope that I sleep late in the morning. Of course, that is always a great unknown, because sleeping late in the morning is not something I do on a regular basis. I would love to some day sleep until noon, but I do not see that happening any time soon, besides, Tyke would wake me up before that time to go do a piddle out back and Gandhi would walk on my face. It is almost as bad as having small children.

Yesterday evening I made a pan of vegetable soup with chunks of potatoes in it. I finished nearly all of it and shared only a little bit of it with Tyke. I liked the chunks of potatoes the best because they were so filling. I think I will make another pan of it tonight because it is so enjoyable to eat. I guess I am back to my soup eating days, because soup seems to be the most agreeable thing to eat. I also enjoy eating slices of dense and moist breakfast cake slathered with butter. The Exfactor bought a brand that I had never tried before and much to my surprise, I like it very much. It is advertised on TV like crazy and I assumed it was all a big hype.

I think I will go back to bed now and attempt to finish sleeping. There are no guarantees that it is going to work and I may lie awake for a while counting sheep. At least I will have warmer feet than I have now, though I could have put on some warm socks. I thought of that too late.

I also love making these stews/soups. I have made quite a few recently and husband loves them too. There is usually enough for 2 days when I fill my crock pot.

I am having a *slovenly*day today and am still in my night gear. I will get dressed soon & get on with things because I'm taking my trolly to a far distant supermarket this morning..... in the drizzle!
Hope you are having better weather.
