Another Saturday.

Here we go! Another Saturday. So soon again after we just had one. Tiny little weeks and then the weekends to relax in and become one again with myself. That is, after I've done the grocery shopping. Mustn't forget that!

I just walked the Überhund around the field again and it took twice as long as it should have, or maybe three times as long, because he had to sniff every blade of grass to tell who had been by there. It was all very interesting to him and a few times he suddenly pulled me right off my feet when a scent hit him from a distance. I don't try to pull him along. I figure it is his outing and he ought to enjoy it.

Then we went the long way home and walked backwards to how we usually go and even that was interesting to him, as if we were approaching things from a whole new perspective. I guess we were from his point of view. I do like to see him enjoy himself, it's so easy. All it requires is some bushes and lumps of grass and lamp posts.

The weather is beautiful outside. It is warm and the sun is shining, although rain is expected later on today, so I mustn't postpone my grocery shopping. I had my jacket open and no scarf. Wonderful!

I didn't fall asleep until 3 AM. I was too wound up from the busy day. I do have the tendency to get over excited and it reminds me that there is a reason why I lead a sedentary life. The boat gets rocked so easily. Luckily, I was able to sleep late this morning, so I do feel caught up. I have a feeling, though, that there will be a nap in my day later on. Maybe when I read my book.

'Eat, pray, love.' That's what I'm reading and I'm almost done with it. Fabulous book, I recommend it highly. I've got two new books waiting for me, so there will be no chance of boredom in my life for a while. I will tell you about them as I read them.

I have made a wish list of books that cost around 10 Euros or less at Bol.com and they are all in English. I have over fifty books on the list, so I will be busy for a while. As soon as I run out of books to read, I will be besieging you for titles of books and good authors.

Well, now I must make my grocery list and clean up the kitchen. I have dishes to do and a floor to mop. Oh, hurray! I'm just thrilled about that.

Have a good Saturday. Hope your weather is nice.

Ciao...

have you thought about joining bookmooch? books are free. you post books you want to get rid of, and for every book of yours that someone takes, you earn a point. and for every book of someone else's that you take, you spend a point.

no money involved at all, except for postage.

bookmooch.com

ann told me about it.

Well at least it isn't -40C like it was here on Tuesday. No hope of spring in the air at all and won't be for another month anyway.

I'm off myself today Irene - I'm babysitting a 4 month old today - that beautiful baby girl in the photo. I'm on duty for 8 hours! Wow! Apparently they like my babysitting!

Better run - got another cup of coffee to get down before I hit the shower!

Laurie, I have hear about bookmooch too, but I'm not ready to get rid of any of my books. I'm still building up my library after having given up many books when I moved from the States. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Aiims, you belong to the privileged few if you get to take care of a little baby. They are so precious and smell so good. I love to cuddle with them. Enjoy your time with her. I envy you.

It is lovely here. We are keeping everything crossed that Spring is really in the air and we won't get any of those nasty late frosts killing off all the flowers.
Enjoy your weekend

Today has been cool but sunny and I jumped on a bus by myself & went to another town, had a lovely browse around and then came back again! Cost nothing! (Except some sandwiches & a banana that I bought!)

Frances, it was a nice day here, even though it started to drizzle in the afternoon. It doesn't feel cold and I hope this means Springtime is here. I just took the Überhund out for his last walk and didn't need a scarf.

Maggie, you had the right idea by getting on a bus and going to another town. Something I should do and never think of. I hope the sandwiches and banana were tasty.

We had a beautiful day here too - we spent most of it outside in the garden, painting a sign for Sprog's new veg plot.
Enjoy your books.

I LOVED Eat,Love and Pray. I bought the book on CD too, so I can listen to it in the car. Each time I listen, I get something new out of it. Love your book reviews, Irene.

Glad spring is making its way to your house. Wish I could say the same.

Have a peaceful Sunday. I hope your spend it with some coffee and a really good book. No cleaning on Sunday, pamper yourself.

I had to go out and buy 2 books tonight Irene, I completely ran out while waiting for my stash from Amazon to arrive.
I usually pass on to family members when finished as we all like the same books.
Weather beautiful here tho I'm working very hard for tax season.

Mya, I hope Sprog grows many good vegetables in his patch. Big red tomatoes!

John, too bad it's still cold, poor birds need some warmth.

Cheryl, I will pamper myself if you promise to pamper yourself!

Mary, the worst thing is to run out of books. Life is miserable without them. Don't work too hard. Or do you want to?
